Commercial Placement Programme

Salary:

£25,000 per annum.

September 2026.

Duration:

12 months, commencing July 2026.

This 12-month placement is for undergraduates who wish to complete a year in industry as part of their degree. You will gain experience within the Commercial Team, working with UK Grocery Retailers. You will develop skills in commercial systems, performance measures, and category management, while gaining a deeper understanding of the UK Grocery Retail market. You'll learn about food product development, manufacturing, and the supply chain in a fast-paced environment. Opportunities may be available to return to Bakkavor after you complete your degree.

We are looking for motivated undergraduates with an ambition to progress in the food industry. This placement is ideal for those studying Business or Food Science, but applications are welcome from anyone with a passion for food .

You must be a current undergraduate, mid-degree (not mid-masters) .

You must have demonstrated experience of working as part of a team .

You must have an existing right to work in the UK .

A full UK driver's licence with your own transport is preferred for Cheshire and Lincolnshire placements.
