Unfortunately, Bakkavor cannot sponsor employment visas for apprenticeships.
Our apprenticeship programmes are designed for people at the start of their career, whether you’re leaving school, changing direction, or looking to gain hands-on experience while earning a qualification.
You can apply as long as you hold the right to work in the UK for the full duration of your apprenticeship. Unfortunately, we cannot provide sponsorship or apply for visas on your behalf.
You’ll receive a confirmation email once we have your application. Our recruitment team will then review your submission and contact you with the next steps. Applications are filtered once the vaccancy closes. You can see the close date on the relevant page.
We aim to update you as soon as possible. If you don’t receive a confirmation of your application from us immediately, please check your junk folder. Our team may still be reviewing applications, but you will always be informed of the outcome either way. applications are not filteres until vacancies close.
Most communication will be by email, so please check your inbox (and junk folder) regularly. Occasionally, we may contact you by text message or phone to discuss interview or assessment details.
If your application progresses, you’ll usually receive an assessment centre invitation a few weeks in advance, this year most centres re being held in April.
Yes, our apprenticeship assessment centres take place in person at one of our Bakkavor sites.
You’ll take part in a combination of individual and group exercises designed to assess your skills, behaviours and potential. You’ll also get the chance to meet our team, learn more about Bakkavor, and ask any questions.
No, relevant experience is not essential for apprenticeship roles. We’re looking for motivation, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in working within food manufacturing.
Yes, you can apply for multiple apprenticeship programmes if you feel your skills and interests match more than one area. We recommend tailoring each application to the specific role.
Due to the high volume of applications, we may not be able to give detailed feedback at the early stages. However, if you attend an assessment centre, you will receive feedback on your performance.
Most of our apprenticeship programmes start in September each year. Specific start dates will be confirmed during the recruitment process and on the relevant role page.
Unfortunately, we are not able to defer apprenticeship offers. If you cannot join us this year, you’re welcome to reapply in the next recruitment cycle.
